This event brings together BRASS and Ascender students for an energizing afternoon designed to help you make the most of the first year!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Programs Orientation! (Mandatory for BRASS S<\/strong><strong>tudents)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>During Orientation:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will point out the many campus resources that are available to help if difficulties arise, program expectations and the first year experience. You will also receive:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Free food<\/li>\n<li>Networking opportunities <\/li>\n<li>Welcome package<\/li>\n<li>Gift card raffles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Location: <\/strong>Rio Grande Campus, Building 3000, August 21st 12 pm \u2013 2:00 PM (Check-in will start at 11:30 am)\u00a0<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Mentor-Mentee Matching (MANDATORY)<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a Match! Get ready to meet your mentor or mentee and kick off an exciting year together! The event provides students, families, mentors, faculty, and staff with an opportunity to build relationships, learn more about the BRASS learning community, and strengthen the support systems that contribute to student success at Austin Community College<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00a0Event Location: <\/strong>ACC Round Rock Campus, October 22, 2026 5:00pm-<strong><strong> <\/strong><\/strong>7:00pm<\/p>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Friendsgiving November 19, 2026<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\"><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thursday, November 19th, 2026 (11:30pm- 1:30pm)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Friendsgiving:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BRASS Friendsgiving is a gathering inspired by the welcoming spirit of Indigenous Native People and the joy of coming together as friends and family. The event creates a welcoming space for students, faculty, staff, mentors, and supporters to connect, share community, express gratitude, share traditional foods associated with the students in the program and celebrate the sense of belonging cultivated through the BRASS program<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Location<\/strong>: TCHTC, Building 4000<\/p>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stay tuned for upcoming dates!
