A CARE Coordinator will reach out to you to discuss your application status.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Childcare questions<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">For questions regarding childcare scholarships, please reach out to childcarespecialists@austincc.edu. In addition, if you have not yet applied for a childcare scholarship, please do so by completing the application on the CARE Coordination Team website.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">General assistance and concerns<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">If you would like to speak with someone about any concerns, questions, assistance or anxieties, please reach out to one of our CARE Coordinators to arrange a time to talk. We are here to help you through this time.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Community resources<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">Our staff will be regularly updating a community resource list with links for help with unemployment, financial support, housing, food, emotional support, and health and wellness. Please refer to the link below and contact our office with questions.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Information<\/h2>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Who is eligible to apply for childcare? Other services?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\"><\/p>\n<p>You can request&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/students\/support-center\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CARE Coordination Team services<\/a>&nbsp;if you are eligible to receive a Pell grant and one of the following apply:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are a single parent.<\/li>\n<li>Your program of study (degree or certificate) is not traditional for your gender.<\/li>\n<li>You are a displaced homemaker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Do I have to be a full-time student to receive assistance?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">You must be in a minimum of 6 credit hours. The Childcare Scholarship awards are based on the number of credit hours you take. However, you will receive assistance only for classes in your degree plan.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">When do I apply for assistance?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">We accept applications year-round. Awards are first-come, first-served as funds become available.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">How long does it take before I know if I will be getting assistance?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">The process takes about three weeks before you receive notice of your award status.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">What if I am not awarded childcare or textbook payment assistance?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">You may still use the textbook loan program and other services.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Why am I not getting assistance?
