Repayment is determined by the type of financial aid you received.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Federally-Funded Financial Aid Programs <\/h2>\n<p>(<strong>Pell Grant, FSEOG Grant, and Direct Student and Parent Loans<\/strong>)<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Two types of withdrawals<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Official withdrawal<\/span> is when you drop <strong>all<\/strong> your classes during a semester.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The date you drop your classes is your official withdrawal date.<\/li>\n<li>The official withdrawal date is used to determine if you need to repay financial aid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Unofficial withdrawal<\/span> can happen when you don\u2019t earn at least one passing grade during a semester.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unless you engage in academic activity beyond the 60% point of the semester, then you may be required to repay some of your aid.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>If your last date of academic activity cannot be determined, then your withdrawal date will be considered to be the mid-point of the semester.<\/li>\n<li>At ACC, unsatisfactory grades are F, U, I, IP, NP, and W.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Federal aid repayment calculation<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">You did <strong>not<\/strong> begin attendance:<\/span>\u00a0 If your withdrawal occurs before the first day of classes or you never begin attending your classes, then you must repay all of your federal financial aid.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">You <strong>did<\/strong> begin attendance:<\/span>\u00a0 If your withdrawal occurs on or after the first day of classes, then we will use a federal formula, called Return to Title IV,\u00a0 to determine the amount of federal aid that you must repay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">State-Funded Financial Aid Programs<\/h2>\n<p><strong>(TEOG Grant, TPEG Grant, CAL Loan, FORWARD Loan, and State-Funded Scholarships)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>One type of withdrawal<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: occurs before the first day of classes or you never begin attending your classes, then you must repay all of your state financial aid including any state-funded loans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">You <strong>did<\/strong> begin attendance:<\/span>\u00a0 If your withdrawal occurs on or after the first day of classes, then we will use a formula prescribed by the State of Texas to determine the amount of state aid that you must repay.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Grants<\/span> will be reduced by the same percentage as the <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.austincc.edu\/tuition-costs\/refunds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tuition refund percentage<\/a> for which you are eligible.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Loans<\/span> will be reduced to the amount that fits within your corrected<a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/financial-aid\/explore-your-financial-aid\/cost-of-attendance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> cost of attendance<\/a> figures as determined by your withdrawal date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aid Repayment Schedule for Federal and State Aid Programs<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Within 30 days<\/span> after it has been determined that you withdrew, you will receive\u00a0communication letting you know whether or not you need to repay aid.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Within 45 days<\/span> after it has been determined that you withdrew, you must repay to ACC any aid funds that you were overpaid.<\/li>\n<li>If you do owe a repayment of financial aid, you must repay the funds in full <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">before<\/span> you may register again at
