If this is your first semester at ACC, you need to apply for admission first.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fe48e5de wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/admissions.austincc.edu\/new-student-application\/\" style=\"background-color:#4d1979\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apply to ACC<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h3 id=\"priority-date\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>When to Apply<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens October 1 each year for the following academic year. Apply as early as possible. Some funds are limited and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. You can also apply for scholarships at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/students\/scholarships\/\">austincc.edu\/scholarships<\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1: Submit the FAFSA (or TASFA)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at <a href=\"http:\/\/studentaid.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">studentaid.gov<\/a> using ACC school code 012015.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FAFSA is for U.S. citizens and <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/understand-aid\/eligibility\/requirements\/non-us-citizens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eligible non-citizens<\/a>. If you don&#8217;t qualify for FAFSA, you may still be eligible for financial aid through the <a href=\"http:\/\/austincc.edu\/tasfa\">Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA)<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fe48e5de wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"http:\/\/studentaid.gov\/fafsa\" style=\"background-color:#4d1979\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Submit FAFSA<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: Track Your Status<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check your <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/help\/accmail\/\">ACCmail<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/selfservice.austincc.edu\/Student\/FinancialAid\/Home\">Self-Service<\/a> regularly for updates and any documents we may need from you. Submit any requested documents through <a href=\"http:\/\/austincc.edu\/studentforms\"><strong>StudentForms<\/strong><\/a>. Responding promptly to any requests will help avoid delays.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fe48e5de wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/selfservice.austincc.edu\/Student\/FinancialAid\/Home\" style=\"background-color:#4d1979\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Track Your Status<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3: Accept Your Offer<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will receive an <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/help\/accmail\/\">ACCmail<\/a> notice when your financial aid offer is ready. Log in to <a href=\"https:\/\/selfservice.austincc.edu\/Student\/FinancialAid\/Home\">Self-Service<\/a> to review and accept or reject each type of aid offered. Your offer may adjust based on your final enrollment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fe48e5de wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-fill\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/selfservice.austincc.edu\/Student\/FinancialAid\/Home\" style=\"background-color:#4d1979\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Accept Your Offer<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 4: Receive Your Funds<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC applies your financial aid directly to your tuition and fees. Any remaining funds are refunded to you through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.refundselection.com\/refundselection\/#\/welcome\/continue\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BM Technologies, Inc<\/a>.
