Many students are eligible for some type of financial assistance like grants, scholarships, work-study, or loans. The Financial Aid Office at Austin Community College will work with you to explore options and access the funds you need to pay for college.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply<\/h2>\n<p>The first step is to complete the <strong>Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)<\/strong>. Include <strong>ACC\u2019s FAFSA code 012015<\/strong> on your application. Not sure if you qualify? Learn more on Continuing Education&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/continue.austincc.edu\/financial-assistance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to Apply<\/h2>\n<p>While you can apply for financial aid at any time throughout the year, we recommend submitting your application as early as <strong>October <\/strong>to cover the following academic year. An academic year begins with the fall semester and includes the spring and summer terms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apply early for the best financial aid options. <\/strong>Some funds are limited, so the sooner you apply the better your chances of accessing first-come, first-served financial aid.<\/p>\n<p>Use the priority dates below to ensure your financial aid is ready before your tuition is due. If you miss the priority date, don\u2019t worry. ACC processes financial aid applications year-round. You may even receive financial aid for classes you\u2019re currently taking!<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fall classes \u2013 May 1<\/li>\n<li>Spring classes \u2013 October 15<\/li>\n<li>Summer classes \u2013 March 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Track Your Financial Aid Application<\/h2>\n<p>The financial aid application takes several weeks to process. Apply early and follow through with all requirements to receive your financial aid offer as soon as possible.
