Many students are eligible for some type of financial aid like grants, scholarships, work-study, or loans. The Financial Aid Office at Austin Community College will work with you to explore options and access the funds you need to pay for college.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Start Here<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Applying for financial aid takes four steps. Start with submitting the <strong>Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)<\/strong>. It&#8217;s free, and opens the door to grants (free money), work-study (part-time work), and loans (borrowed money).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The FAFSA is for U.S. citizens and <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/understand-aid\/eligibility\/requirements\/non-us-citizens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eligible non-citizens<\/a>. Not sure if you qualify for FAFSA? Review the <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/financial-aid\/apply-for-financial-aid\/eligibility\/\">eligibility requirements<\/a>.
