Find details in the Disbursement Schedule below.<\/p>\n<p>At ACC, your financial aid will be applied directly to your tuition and fees. Any excess funds will be refunded to you within 10 business days after they are disbursed. You can track payments in <a href=\"https:\/\/austincc.edu\/faselfservice\">Self-Service<\/a> under &#8220;Pay for Classes.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: <\/strong>If your aid does not cover all tuition and fees, be sure to pay the difference or set up a payment plan by the <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.austincc.edu\/tuition-deadlines-payment-information\/\">payment deadline<\/a> to avoid being dropped from your courses.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial Aid Refunds<\/h3>\n<p>Refunds are handled through BankMobile Disbursements, managed by BMTX, Inc. <a href=\"https:\/\/disbursements.bmtx.com\/refundchoices\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Select your refund preference here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disbursement Schedule<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/financial-aid\/receive-your-financial-aid\/refunds-disbursements\/financial-aid-disbursement\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"97\">Federal grants and loans<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/financial-aid\/receive-your-financial-aid\/refunds-disbursements\/scholarship-disbursement\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"99\">Scholarships<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adjustments to Your Aid Based on Enrollment<\/h2>\n<p>The amount of financial aid you receive depends on the number of credits you are taking. Initially, your financial aid offer is based on full-time enrollment, which is 12 credits, but it can decrease if you take fewer credits. Any overpayment resulting from reduced credits at the <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.austincc.edu\/registration\/registration-important-dates\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/admissions.austincc.edu\/registration\/registration-important-dates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">census date<\/a> must be returned to the college.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More Information About Your Financial Aid Disbursement:<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Non-Attendance<\/h3>\n<p>Instructors must certify your class attendance for financial aid eligibility. Uncertified class attendance may require repayment of financial aid. Please contact your instructor for any issues regarding class certification.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If You Do Not Plan to Attend ACC<\/h3>\n<p>It is your responsibility to <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/financial-aid\/maintaining-your-financial-aid\/course-withdrawal-repayment\/\">drop your classes<\/a> before they begin if you do not plan to attend ACC. Otherwise, you will be responsible for repaying any tuition and fees.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Unused Scholarships<\/h3>\n<p>Contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/students\/scholarships\">scholarship specialist<\/a> if you do not plan to continue your studies and would like unused funds returned to the donor.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarship Limitations<\/h3>\n<p>If your scholarship guidelines do not allow refunds, ACC will either carry over unused funds to the next semester or return them to the outside donor.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h3><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Financial aid is typically disbursed at the start of each semester, but exceptions may apply based on your class schedule and the type of aid you expect.
