ACC has a process that allows students to request use of a chosen first name where possible within the College\u2019s records and systems. Legal names are used when necessary for college business or legal purposes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-left is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fdcfc74e wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/admissions.austincc.edu\/update-student-information\/chosen-first-name\/\">Request a Chosen First Name<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Request an ACCmail Username &#8211; Name Change<\/h2>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Official records must be updated prior to requesting a name change<\/h3>\n<p>Before requesting the ACCmail name change, you must first change your name on official college records.
