Actively enrolled students are required to use their ACCmail account while communicating with ACC instructors and ACC staff. ACC will send important information to you at this account. Also, ACC will notify you of any college related emergencies using this account.<br \/>If you don&#8217;t wish to use the, ACCmail powered by Google, web client to read your email, you can configure other email clients to do so.&nbsp;<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Can I use a different email address instead of my ACCmail address?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">Students cannot add supplemental email addresses at this time, but have the option to forward their accmail email messages to another email address at their own risk.&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/mail.google.com\/support\/bin\/answer.py?hl=en&amp;answer=10957\">More Information<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">I'm concerned about spam, malware, and spyware. Who will be able to email my ACCmail?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">With Google Apps Education edition, you get Gmail&#8217;s proprietary Spam and virus filtering. You will be required to provide your ACCeID and password.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t know your ACCeID and password? You can access your ACCmail account using POP, IMAP, and mobile email programs. See the links below for more information. NOTE: Be sure to use your full email address (<a href=\"mailto:username@g.austincc.edu\">username@g.austincc.edu<\/a>) and use your ACCmail password when setting up the POP or IMAP configuration. You&#8217;ll need to use your ACCmail password to use POP or IMAP. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/mail\/answer\/7126229?visit_id=638016336783073835-1791438333&amp;rd=1\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/mail\/answer\/7126229?visit_id=638016336783073835-1791438333&amp;rd=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Checking Gmail through other email platforms<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you have not already set your ACCmail password, you can do so&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/acceid.austincc.edu\/AccMAIL\/studentemail.pl\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">How long do I get to keep my ACCmail email address?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">You can use your ACCmail account while you&#8217;re an active student. If you stop taking classes, your account will remain active for up to 12 months without use. After 12 months of no activity, your account will be deleted.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Is there a limit to the amount of recipients I can send to or the amount of messages I can send in one day?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\"><\/p>\n<p>In an effort to fight spam and prevent abuse, Google will temporarily disable your account if:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You send a message to more than 2000 recipients.<br \/>NOTE: If you use a POP or IMAP client (Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail, e.g.), you may only send a message to 100 people at a time.<\/li>\n<li>You send a large number of undeliverable messages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your account should be re-enabled within 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">What is the maximum message size I can send?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\">You can send and receive messages up to 20 megabytes (MB) in size,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/mail.google.com\/support\/bin\/answer.py?answer=8770\">including attachments<\/a>. Incoming messages over 20 MB will be returned to the sender without being delivered to you.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">I'm a student but also a staff member. Do I get an ACCmail email address?<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\"><\/p>\n<p>Yes.
