Austin Community College District (ACC) is experiencing a surge in fall enrollment just one month after the opening of fall registration. Preliminary data indicate a significant increase, particularly among new students.

Overall fall 2024 enrollments at ACC are up nearly 23% from last year and up more than 29% compared to two years ago as of June 20. For all new student registrations have surged by over 27% from last year and more than 78% from fall 2022, following the announcement of the Free Tuition Pilot Program for the high school class of 2024 on April 1.

ACC is seeing increased enrollments in key areas of study, including:

  • Arts & Digital Media: 23% increase
  • Business: 12.7% increase
  • Computer Science and Information Technology: 25% increase
  • Health Science: 28.2% increase
  • Liberal Arts (Social and Behavioral Science): 20.6% increase
  • Public and Social Services: 22%
  • Science, Engineering, and Math: 29.9% increase

There are still two months to register for fall classes. Students are encouraged to register as soon as possible to secure the classes and locations that fit their needs best.

  • Locations: ACCelerators at ACC Highland, Round Rock, and San Gabriel campuses
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
