Launching this fall at Austin Community College District (ACC), the Austin City Limits (ACL) Music Festival University. The program –– in partnership with C3 Presents and Festival University –– offers current ACC students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and behind-the-scenes training in the live festival industry.

The program will examine the impact of the ACL Music Festival on the local music scene and beyond. Students will explore the fundamentals of festival production, engage with industry professionals, and learn about various aspects of the live music industry, from production and management to marketing and public relations. 

The following courses at ACC Highland will be part of this year’s ACL Music Festival University curriculum:

MUSB 2371 – PR and Marketing for Creatives
MUSC 2403 – Live Sound 2 (*prerequisite: Live Sound 1)
MUSC 1375 – Stage Production and Lighting
COMM 1337 – Video Production 2
RTVB 2388 – Internship (for course credit) with Radio-TV-Film

Spots are still available in participating courses this exciting program, but students must act quickly to secure their place. The deadline to register for courses is Monday, August 26. ACC students can register for these courses through their departmental or ACC advisor.
