What: Hear from leaders in the ACC community, including Dr. Willie Martinez, associate vice chancellor of Student Engagement & Academic Success, and Jose Resendez, regional director of Learning Support Services, as they share their experiences with machisno expectations and their insights on its links to domestic violence.
The discussion –– guided by Dr. Manuel Zamarripa, dean of Mental Health Counseling, and Dr. Gary Moreno, director of the Latin American Cultural Center –– will dive into the historical roots of machismo and offer strategies for changing harmful stereotypes.
