Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Professionals program celebrates its reaccreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP).
The CAAHEP accreditation is a mark of quality that assures students and the community that the College’s program meets or exceeds established standards for the profession.
The reaccreditation was granted upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP), reflecting the program’s adherence to rigorous standards of curriculum, faculty, and student outcomes.
ACC’s program provides hands-on training in quick-response medical skills, anatomy, and patient care. The fast-paced program offers active learning in state-of-the-art facilities, with plenty of outdoor practice and real-world application. ACC students train through simulations of real-life scenarios and more in class every week.
The College offers three levels of training: EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic and has a 100% pass rate on the EMSP National Registry. More than 90% of ACC’s EMS grads are placed in a career.
