Austin Community College District (ACC) invites students to a special event with Alejandra Campoverdi, a nationally recognized women’s health advocate, bestselling author, founder, producer, and former White House aide to President Barack Obama.
Campoverdi is a first-generation American and college student. Her book, “First Gen: A Memoir,” is a story of generational inheritance, aspiration, and the true meaning of belonging.

The event, hosted by ACC Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart, will feature a fireside chat. This will provide students with a unique opportunity to engage with Campoverdi and hear her inspiring story. Light refreshments will be provided.
Following the chat, students can participate in a special Q&A session and book signing. Copies of Campoverdi’s book will be available to share at the event on a first-come, first-serve basis.
