ACC students have a unique opportunity to upskill this November. At the Resume Upskill Session, students are invited to get free job training in nonprofit and political fundraising.
Resume Upskill Session
Date: Monday, November 4
Time: 4 – 6 p.m.
Location: Rio Grande Campus, Building 3000
What: Open to students of all majors, the session will offer practical skills in nonprofit and political fundraising that are valuable across numerous industries, from healthcare and education to business and more.
Fundraising expertise enhances employability and builds essential skills in communication, networking, and strategic planning—highly desired assets in today’s competitive job market.
Sponsored by the Student Government Association’s (SGA) Micro-Aid Committee, Resume Upskill Session features hands-on training led by Cristina Ayala, a veteran fundraiser. She has over 20 years in the field and approximately $350 million raised for nonprofits, charities, and political organizations.
In addition to training, Ayala’s partnership with ACC’s SGA supports the Micro-Aid initiative, an emergency fund that helps students with urgent, high-impact needs. Those who complete the training will also have the chance to discuss potential internships in professional fundraising with Ayala, creating an invaluable networking and career-building opportunity.
