Now’s the time to secure funds for college! February is Financial Aid Month, and ACC offers 1-on-1 support to help you navigate the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA).
FAFSA helps students access federal grants, loans, and work-study opportunities, while TASFA is designed for Texas residents ineligible for federal aid.
No matter what you’re applying for — we encourage you to start early. Filing early increases your chances of receiving available funds, and ACC offers workshops and one-on-one support to simplify the process.

Five Things You Should Know About FAFSA:
- Who Can Apply: U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens. TASFA is for Texas residents who don’t quality for FAFSA.
- Why It’s Important: Filing early increases your chance of receiving aid. Many funds are first-come, first-served.
- What You’ll Need: Your Social Security number, tax returns, W-2 forms, and other financial records for yourself or your parents if dependent.
- Receiving Funds: It may take several weeks for ACC to receive and process your application. You can look for updates in your ACC email.
- Deadline: Apply as soon as possible to maximize aid opportunities for the 2025-26 academic year.
