The spring 2025 pets are here and ready to find their forever homes! The dogs and cats cared for by ACC Veterinary Technology students over the semester are ready for adoption.
All ACC pets have received socialization and basic training, are microchipped, and are up-to-date on their medical care, including vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Now, it’s time for them to meet their new families! These pets come from local shelters, and any that aren’t adopted by the end of the semester may have to return.
Three steps to your new best friend:
- Visit ACC Elgin Campus: Schedule a meet-and-greet by contacting Libby Chow at [email protected].
- Meet & Match: Spend time with our adoptable pets to find the one who’s perfect for you.
- Apply & Bring Them Home: Complete an application and pay a small adoption fee that supports their care.
When you adopt from ACC’s Vet Tech Program, you’re doing more than giving a pet a loving home—you’re also helping students gain real-world veterinary care experience. Through partnerships with rural shelters, ACC provides animals with a second chance while opening up much-needed space for other pets in need.
