Fall classes at Austin Community College District (ACC) begin soon, and now is the perfect time to prepare. Visiting your campus during intersession lets you explore buildings, find your classrooms, and locate resources before day 1.

Use this quick checklist to figure out ways to navigate your classes and campus before the first day of class.

Check Your Schedule & Start Date

Not all classes begin at the same time. Some start in August, while 12-week and 8-week courses start in September and October. Log in to MyACC to view and print your class schedule:

  • Your campus and classroom number.
  • Your meeting days (Do you start class on a Monday or Tuesday? (It matters!)
  • Whether your class is in-person, online, asynchronous, or HyFlex.
  • New this fall: Wayfinding maps and kiosks will be available on campus to make navigating even easier.

Review Your Syllabus

Your syllabus is more than just a course outline — it’s your success guide. It includes:

  • Instructor contact information.
  • Required textbooks, technology, and supplies.
  • Class policies, grading breakdown, and key dates.
  • Your room number: Our room numbering format is the same for most campuses. The first number tells you which building on campus to go to. The second number tells you what floor to go to in that building. The last number(s) tell you the room number on that floor. For example: Room 1314 = Building 1000, 3rd Floor, Room 1314.

Explore Your Campus

ACC has 11 campuses, each with unique features and resources. Learn the campus acronyms — for example, RGC is Rio Grande Campus, RRC is Round Rock Campus, while RVS is Riverside Campus. Bookmark your campus page for maps, contact information, and hours.

Visit your classrooms, labs, and Student Life spaces ahead of time so you’re ready to start strong. Campus maps are available at austincc.edu/campuses

Parking and Transportation

Parking is free for students, faculty, and staff. You don’t need to sign up for a special permit or register your vehicle.

If you’re enrolled in a credit or Adult Education class, you can also sign up for a Green Pass to ride CapMetro for FREE all semester long. Learn more at austincc.edu/parking.

Get Your Textbooks Early
