Starting your college journey at ACC? The Mentor & Leadership Program (MLP) is designed to help first-year Riverbats build strong connections, grow as leaders, and get involved on campus.
The Mentor & Leadership Program is a one-year experience for first-year students (0-12 credit hours earned) who want to make the most of their time at ACC. Through leadership workshops, community service, and peer networking, students gain valuable skills while getting familiar with campus resources and support.
Peer Mentors and Student Life staff work closely with students throughout the year to guide goal-setting, provide mentorship, and help students build a strong, connected community at ACC. After completing their first year, participants can apply to become Peer Mentors.
Applications are open now through February 28, 2026. Students interested in joining this program can apply through the My Student Life portal.
To be eligible for this program, students should:
- Be currently enrolled for fall 2025, with plans to register for spring 2026
- Apply via MySL
- Complete an intake meeting with the MLP staff
- Maintain an active status by participating in at least three (3) ACC/Student Life/MLP events each semester once accepted into the program
