Austin Community College District (ACC) has been recognized as one of the most affordable colleges in Texas for associate degree programs, according to a new ranking from AffordableDegreeGuide.org. ACC placed fourth in the state for the 2024–25 academic year.
The ranking highlights institutions that balance low tuition rates with quality education, helping students find options that keep debt low while opening doors to future opportunities.
“Affordability should never be the barrier that keeps someone from chasing their dreams,” says ACC Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart. “At ACC, we are deeply committed to keeping education within reach for every student. When we remove financial roadblocks and pair affordability with strong support systems, we empower more students to start, stay, and succeed, and that’s what this recognition is all about.”
ACC’s recognition comes at a time when college costs remain a major challenge for students and families across Texas. To help, ACC has maintained in-district tuition rates for 12 consecutive years. But affordability is only part of the picture. ACC also offers resources to help students stay on track and thrive, including:
