ACC’s Student Government Association (SGA) recently traveled to Blinn College for the Texas Junior College Student Government Association (TJCSGA) Region 4 Annual Conference, connecting with student leaders from across the region and taking part in key conversations and elections.
During the conference, ACC SGA President LeeAnn Partin and Parliamentarian Lilliana Dechaine represented the College, sharing ideas, building connections, and engaging in discussions that shape student leadership across Texas.
The trip also resulted in two major outcomes that will directly benefit ACC students.
ACC has been selected to host the 2027 TJCSGA Region 4 Annual Conference, bringing student leaders from across the state to campus. This creates a unique opportunity for ACC students to get involved, connect with peers, and help lead conversations that impact student experiences beyond ACC.
In addition, Lilliana Dechaine was elected Regional Parliamentarian, a leadership role supporting student governments across the region by helping guide meetings, uphold bylaws, and ensure fair and effective decision-making.
Students interested in getting involved with SGA and making an impact on campus are encouraged to learn more and get connected. For more information, reach out to Troy Jefferson at [email protected] or Jaren Murphy at [email protected].
