The Elgin community came together at the ACC Elgin Campus for the third annual Relay for Life on Saturday, April 25. This year marked the biggest one yet!

Participation nearly doubled, with close to 90 people showing up to run, walk, and support the cause. Students, families, ACC employees, and even the Elgin Police Department joined in, making it a true community event.

“The Relay for Life Fun Run is a meaningful tradition in the Elgin community. It goes beyond just an event; it is a time for people to come together to remember loved ones, uplift those facing cancer, and share in a spirit of hope, strength, and unity,” said Sonya Rendon-Rangel, Elgin Campus Coordinator. “This collaboration makes this gathering possible, creating a space filled with purpose, care, and compassion.”

Relay for Life brings people together to honor loved ones, support those impacted by cancer, and show what community care looks like in action.
