The MyACC Virtual Assistant is built into MyACC Guide to help you find answers and connect with the right ACC resource when you’re not sure where to start.

Don’t navigate it alone! We have been gathering Frequently Asked Questions to help get you started.

Frequently Asked Questions

MyACC Guide is a new dashboard in the MyACC student portal that makes it easier to find ACC information, resources, and support.

You’ll find it through your MyACC student portal. Go to austincc.edu/students.

You can use MyACC Guide to:

  • Find important dates and information
  • Find student resources and support
  • Get help with questions about ACC services
  • Connect with resources such as advising, tutoring, financial aid, and technology support
  • Use the MyACC Virtual Assistant

The MyACC Virtual Assistant is a chatbot built into MyACC Guide. You can ask it questions in your own words, and it can help point you toward information, resources, or the ACC department that can help.

Try questions such as:

  • “Where can I get tutoring?”
  • “How do I contact financial aid?”
  • “Where can I find advising?”
  • “I need help with technology. Where do I go?”
  • “What resources are available to me as an ACC student?”

You don’t have to know the name of the department or resource before you ask.

No. The Virtual Assistant is a tool to help you find information and navigate ACC resources. It does not replace ACC staff or the departments that provide student support.

If you need help with your specific situation, the Virtual Assistant can help you find the appropriate ACC resource or department.

The Virtual Assistant may not have an answer to every question. If you don’t get the information you need, use the resources provided in MyACC Guide or contact the appropriate ACC department for help.

The Virtual Assistant is designed to help you find information and resources. Do not enter sensitive personal information into the chatbot.

Never enter:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Banking or financial information
  • Passwords
  • Other sensitive personal information

If you have a question about your individual student account, financial aid, records, or another private matter, use the appropriate ACC department or secure student system

The MyACC Virtual Assistant can help you find information and connect with ACC resources, but it can’t complete certain tasks or make decisions for you. It can’t:

  • Reset your password
  • Access private student records in chat
  • Take payments
  • Register, drop, or change your classes
  • Guarantee financial aid, refunds, or transfer credit
  • Make degree, advising, or transfer decisions for you
  • Help with your homework
  • Contact emergency services for you

ACC is taking steps to protect student information and build appropriate safeguards into MyACC Guide and the Virtual Assistant.

As with any chatbot, don’t enter information that should remain private.

Start with MyACC Guide. You can browse the available resources or ask the Virtual Assistant your question in plain language.

It’s designed to help you figure out where to go next—even if you’re not sure which ACC department or resource you need.
