Did you know one bat can consume up to 4,500 mosquitoes in just one night? As the local bat population remains threatened by displacement in Central Texas, Austin Community College District (ACC) works to ensure they have a home––and what better home than with our Riverbats!

During Earth Week, ACC’s Architectural & Engineering CAD (A&E CAD) Department and Green Team joined forces to build 13 bat houses. Each house will be located near all ACC campuses.

This collaborative effort, hosted in A&E CAD’s Advanced Design and Fabrication Lab, demonstrates the community’s commitment to fostering positive environmental change.
