The Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) Center at ACC invites students, employees, and the community to reflect, create, and connect during TRHT Week. This year’s theme, “I Made It,” highlights the importance of self-reflection and the unique journeys of personal accomplishment.
From Tuesday, January 21, to Friday, January 24, TRHT Week offers events designed to inspire personal growth, foster connections, and celebrate achievements. All events will be held at the TRHT Center at the ACC Highland Campus, Building 4000.
Events
Opening Circle: Moments of Meaning | Tuesday, January 21 | 12:30 p.m.
Students, employees, and the community will engage in a facilitated circle discussion to share personal stories of meaning and growth.
Workshop: Threads of Transformation | Wednesday, January 22 | 4 p.m.
An art session for participants to create works reflecting their journeys and achievements. Participants can paint, write, or create collages to promote self-reflection and creativity.
Community Networking: Building Bridges | Thursday, January 23 | 12:30 p.m.
Networking event to connect with professionals and community members to build meaningful relationships.
Closing Celebration: I Made It – Pathways and Purpose | Friday, January 24 | 12:30 p.m.
Reflect on your journey and celebrate growth. There will be a collective art project and treats to share.
The TRHT Campus Center’s mission is to eliminate barriers that reinforce differential outcomes by race and build cross-racial relationships that lead to racial healing and explore ways to transform while creating narratives that can influence people’s perspectives, perceptions, and behaviors about and toward one another.
