The event will honor the Indian culture and heritage with a fashion walk, dance demonstration, and food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Diwali Celebration&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Date:<\/strong> Friday, October 25<br><strong>Time:<\/strong> 6:30-8 p.m.<br><strong>Location:<\/strong> ACC Truth, Racial Healing &amp; Transformation Center, Highland Campus, Bldg. 4000<br><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdmWAYHiUQTGfD18ylOmv3wEUwv-dMTnZF49WfQWExQ4vC3tg\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>RSVP Here<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The celebration will feature a Diwali fashion walk that celebrates the vibrant connection between Indian ethnic wear and the elements of nature, inspired by the ancient concept of the \u201cPancha Bhuta\u201d \u2013 five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space). It will be followed by a dance demonstration called \u201cThe Earth\u2019s Rhythm\u201d \u2013 a dance that explores the sounds and sights in nature.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">View bios and photos of the artists <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/aapi\/diwali-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event also includes a dinner of Indian dishes, Mandala crafts, and henna tattoos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event is free and open to the community. The festival lasts five days, beginning 15 days after the full moon in the eighth month of the Hindu calendar.
