Austin Community College District (ACC) invites employees, students, and the community to celebrate D\u00eda de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, from Thursday, October 31, to Sunday, November 3. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This annual observance, held on November 1 and 2, is celebrated by various cultures to honor and remember ancestors and those who have recently passed. Through cultural and religious practices, D\u00eda de los Muertos offers a meaningful way to celebrate the lives of those who have departed this world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In support of culturally responsive teaching and learning, ACC\u2019s Teaching and Learning Excellence Division (TLED)<\/strong><\/a>, Latin American Cultural Center (El Centro)<\/strong><\/a>, and Ascender Program<\/strong><\/a> have partnered to develop a Cultural Mosaic: D\u00eda de los Muertos<\/strong><\/a>. The series features in-person and online events and celebrations that feature the disciplines of culinary arts, photography, philosophy, religion, humanities, and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
