Voters elected Trustees for Places 7, 8, and 9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below are the results as of 7 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Place 7<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The current Board Chair and long-serving member of Place 7, Dr. Barabara P. Mink, did not seek reelection. Two candidates \u2014&nbsp;Cole Wilson and Sherri Lynn Taylor \u2014 ran for the vacant seat. Sherri Lynn Taylor is the projected winner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sherri Lynn Taylor \u2013\u2013 57.5%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cole Wilson \u2013\u2013 42.5%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Place 8<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Place 8 incumbent, Trustee Stephanie Gharakhanian, ran unopposed. She will retain her seat.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stephanie Gharakhanian \u2014 Ran Unopposed&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Place 9<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Place 9 seat included incumbent Trustee Julie Ann Nitsh and former ACC employee Joseph Sefton. Julie Ann Nitsch is the projected winner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Julie Ann Nitsh \u2013\u2013 70.6%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joseph Sefton \u2013\u2013 29.4%<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC board members serve staggered six-year terms and are elected at-large by registered voters who live within the ACC District, which includes the City of Austin as well as the newly-annexed Lockhart ISD territory and Austin, Leander, Manor, Del Valle, Round Rock, Elgin, and Hays school districts.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Comprehensive election results are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/offices\/campus-operations-and-public-affairs\/acc-elections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACC Elections website<\/a>.
