Austin Community College District (ACC) honors our students’ incredible achievements at the upcoming Fall 2024 Commencement. More than 3,900 are invited to the ceremony at 4 p.m. Thursday, December 12, at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Leading up to the big day, ACC will be spotlighting students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meet Chad Garza a general studies graduate. The 35-year-old started at ACC in spring 2023 and is passing along advice to those still on their journey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did you choose ACC? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Affordability, convenience of location.<\/p>\n\n\n\n How does it feel to be graduating? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It feels like a major accomplishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What was your favorite part of ACC? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Getting to meet all my wonderful new friends that I’ve made along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Any faculty or staff you want to recognize supporting you? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Heather Miller for supporting me during a particularly tough time after my mother passed away before I graduated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What is next for you? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I am pursuing my 2D animation degree here at ACC for the next 1.5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What would you tell someone considering applying for college?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Follow your passions, they’ll always lead you right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anything else you would like to add?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Get to know people, especially ones who may have opposite interests\/beliefs as you.
