The simulation provides students with hands-on opportunities to develop leadership skills and engage in their communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants stepped into various roles\u2014such as mayor, reporter, chief of public health, or concerned parent\u2014collaborating and debating during a simulated public meeting to mirror real-world challenges. Guided by role objectives, students practiced navigating high-stakes scenarios, developing communication strategies, and balancing competing interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To enhance the learning experience, CGCS brought in expert mentors who provided valuable insights and reflections. The event concluded with an after-action review, where participants shared takeaways and discussed how they could apply their lessons to real-life situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next Civic Leadership Simulation is scheduled for February 24, 2025.
