This adjustment allows student advocates to focus more on supporting students with basic needs while ensuring advisors can dedicate their expertise to providing high-quality academic guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>AGT members will assist students in areas such as:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Staying on track for their program of study<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selecting appropriate classes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making decisions about their educational and career goals<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Student Advocates will continue to play a vital role by:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supporting students with basic needs and resource connections<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing Student Emergency Fund recommendations and support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acting as parenting student and foster care student liaison support<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next Steps for Students<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students will be matched with their new academic advisors.
