The two-day hackathon brings together students, developers, designers, and community-minded problem-solvers to build tech-driven solutions that tackle real-world civic challenges.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dates: <\/strong>Saturday, April 26 &#8211; Sunday, April 27<br><strong>Time: <\/strong>9 a.m. on April 26 through 5 p.m. on April 27<br><strong>Location: <\/strong>Center for Government and Civic Service (CGCS), ACC Rio Grande Campus<br><strong>What:<\/strong> Participants are empowered to imagine and create tools that strengthen communities, improve access to public services, and support local impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This year\u2019s theme, Civic Innovation, is done in partnership with the City of Austin and aligns with Public Safety and Mobility &amp; Critical Infrastructure priorities. Teams will develop solutions that make a tangible difference in how the city approaches critical issues such as public safety, transportation access, and emergency response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Winning projects may be selected for further development with the City of Austin to help move their strategic goals forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participation is free. Meals, snacks, and swag will be provided. Students can register individually or as a team. If you can&#8217;t participate in person, you&#8217;re still encouraged to check out the final presentations and follow along online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About RiverHacks<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RiverHacks empowers participants to develop creative solutions to pressing civic challenges in housing, education, transportation, and access to healthcare.
