Austin Community College District (ACC) celebrates over 3,300 graduates at its spring 2025 commencement ceremony<\/a>. Friends and family are invited to congratulate students at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park on Friday, May 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of those invited to participate, more than 50 will be earning a Bachelor\u2019s Degree from ACC. One of those graduates is Carlos Rodriguez who will be earning his Bachelor of Applied Technology in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. The 25-year-old began at ACC in fall 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did you choose ACC?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I chose ACC because the registration process was incredibly simple and accessible. There was also plenty of support available, especially when it came to applying for financial aid and staying on track with my studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does it feel to be graduating?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It feels amazing. I still can\u2019t believe it! It\u2019s like a dream come true, and there’s an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and completeness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you share a memorable experience or moment that defined your time at ACC?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The moment I stepped into the classroom for my very first class. That day marked the beginning of everything. I remember it like it was yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorite spot on campus?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ACCelerator. In my early days at college, I loved going there to study. I\u2019d spend hours there with my headphones in, listening to soft piano music while getting through my coursework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How did ACC prepare you for the next steps in your career or education?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ACC gave me a strong foundation of knowledge and hands-on experience that has benefited me in every area of my life, both professionally and personally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Were there any faculty, staff, or classmates who made a big impact on your journey?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Absolutely. My professors, advisors, classmates, and program coordinators all played a significant role in my success. Each of them left a positive mark on my educational journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s next for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, it\u2019s time to celebrate\u2014this is a huge victory! After that, I plan to explore great job opportunities and continue investing in my personal and professional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What advice would you give to future ACC students?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t take more than two classes in your first semester.
Discover your best studying strategy early on.
Learn to manage your time effectively.
Never give up\u2014keep pushing forward.
Turn negative experiences into motivation.
Don\u2019t rush to finish your program; take your time and enjoy the process.
Embrace the student experience.
