The event is part of the art exhibition at ACC\u2019s Highland Campus titled \u2018American Roulette\u2013Austin: Navigating Gun Culture in our Violent Society.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis exhibition and event are not about taking sides. They\u2019re about creating a space for dialogue, empathy, and understanding,\u201d says Peter Bonfitto, Director of Galleries and Exhibition Programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>American Roulette: A Virtual Conversation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Date: Thursday, June 5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Time: 6-7 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Location: <a href=\"https:\/\/austincc.zoom.us\/j\/82678100444?pwd=Ypa7TZp1E6TlHFTS8kfLNSJRYhbbn1.1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zoom<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSc7YcP9EP3wgdhSVekSojMxjnbb0JkC54NFSjupfZx4aFTubQ\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RSVP Here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organized by The Art Galleries (TAG) at ACC in partnership with the Center for Peace &amp; Conflict Studies, this event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Participants will hear directly from members of the American Roulette artist collective, whose work explores the impact of gun violence across the U.S. You\u2019ll also get to ask questions and be part of a dialogue that challenges assumptions, encourages empathy, and makes space for diverse perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Want to See the Art in Person?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Exhibition will remain on view through Thursday, June 26<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gallery hours: Tuesday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Location: TAG at ACC Highland Campus, Building 4000<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Austin Community College District (ACC) invites students to a virtual conversation about gun violence, culture, and how art can spark real dialogue.
