Here\u2019s What You Need to Know"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Biking to class can be a more affordable and sustainable option for getting to and from ACC. The College supports sustainable transportation and offers resources to help you bike safely and protect your bike or scooter while you\u2019re on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether you\u2019re a regular cyclist or just getting started:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wear a properly fitted helmet and use lights when riding at night.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ride with traffic and follow the rules of the road.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay visible and watch for cars, pedestrians, and other cyclists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Always lock your bike or scooter securely to a bike rack. Forgot your lock? ACC Police have locks available to borrow with your ACC ID.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Protect Your Bike<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Register your bike with ACC Police and keep your bike\u2019s serial number, photos, and receipts in a safe place. Having this information can make it easier to identify and recover your bike if it\u2019s stolen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC campuses also offer bike racks, loaner locks, and bike repair stations at select locations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>More Ways to Get Around<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/infohub\/2026\/08\/21\/lime-launches-program-to-offer-50-discount-to-acc-riders\/\">ACC has partnered with Lime to offer all eligible current employees and students a 50% discount on Lime electric bikes and scooters across Austin, just sign up using your ACC email address.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also combine biking with CapMetro bus and rail, use Austin\u2019s bike-share system, or plan your route with the <a href=\"https:\/\/austin.maps.arcgis.com\/apps\/webappviewer\/index.html?id=c7fecf32a2d946fabdf062285d58d40c&amp;extent=3052120.7123%2C10036958.1486%2C3179054.0456%2C10097891.4819%2C102739\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Austin Bike Map<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Want more biking tips, campus resources, repair station locations, bike registration information, and local cycling resources?
