Besides student loans,&nbsp;financial aid also includes grants, scholarships, and work-study.&nbsp; Learn more about student loans from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/students\/financial-aid\/explore-your-financial-aid\/loans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACC&#8217;s Financial Aid office<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do you get a student loan?\u00a0<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To get a student loan, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at <a href=\"https:\/\/fafsa.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAFSA.gov<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/students\/financial-aid\/apply-for-financial-aid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Visit this page<\/a> for information on how and when to apply.<\/li>\n<li>If you need help completing the FAFSA stop by your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/campus-contacts?field_contact_campus_value=All&amp;field_contact_office_or_dept_value=Financial+Aid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">campus Financial Aid office&nbsp;<\/a>or connect with local non-profit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/foundcom.org\/financial-stability\/college-financial-aid-assistance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Foundation Communities<\/a> for free assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">You may also get a student loan from a bank or other lender; however, we highly recommend considering federal student loans first.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How much should I borrow?\u00a0\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Only borrow what you need. You are not obligated to take what is offered.
