SAS Consultations can be set-up by reaching out to campus SAS advocate emails on the <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/student-accessibility-services\/contact-sas\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/student-accessibility-services\/contact-sas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SAS Campus Contact<\/a> page.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Faculty, Staff and Prospective Students:<\/strong> Get answers to general questions regarding accessibility at ACC. <em><mark style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Have questions about accommodations in your course<\/mark><\/em>, we are happy to consult with you!<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Enrolled Students:<\/strong> Discuss current accommodations, request updates for new courses, or ask general questions about navigating accessibility at ACC. Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/student-accessibility-services\/accessibility-services-current-or-returning-students\/\">Accessibility Services \u2012 Current Students<\/a> if you already receive accommodations through SAS and would like to request semester accommodations.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SAS Connect<\/h3>\n<p>SAS Connect is the team that supports students submitting <strong>accommodation applications<\/strong>. This team is a students first contact in requesting accommodations at ACC. They are responsible for reviewing applications and documentation, and then connecting students with a SAS Advocate to schedule an initial Access Needs Meeting. SAS Connect can also support student questions about what type of documentation is needed.<\/p>\n<p>Email: <a href=\"mailto:SASapplication@austincc.edu\">SASapplication@austincc.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Access Needs Meetings<\/h3>\n<p>Access Needs Meetings are for students who are enrolled at ACC, who have submitted a SAS Application and are currently experiencing an academic barrier. An Access Needs Meeting is an interactive, confidential, one-on-one session between a student and SAS Advocate to discuss functional limitations and determine reasonable accommodations. Review <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1DdU8e97QmVv0_bjFW8N6QrWabHil29of7qdI90tXccU\/edit?usp=sharing\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/presentation\/d\/1DdU8e97QmVv0_bjFW8N6QrWabHil29of7qdI90tXccU\/edit?usp=sharing\">guide on how to request your Faculty Notification Letters (FNL).<\/a><\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Guide-FNL\"><strong>Step 1: Access Your Courses<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to your <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hunter.accessiblelearning.com\/AustinCC\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hunter.accessiblelearning.com\/AustinCC\/\">Student AIM Dashboard<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>On the main page, your current semester courses will be visible under the <strong>Accommodation Requests<\/strong> module.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: Initiate the Request<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Locate the box for the upcoming term (e.g., SPRING 2026).<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>plus (+) sign<\/strong> labeled <strong>&#8220;Add Requests for [Number] Classes&#8221;<\/strong> to start the process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3: Select Your Courses<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Under the section <strong>&#8220;STEP: SELECT COURSES,&#8221;<\/strong> check the box next to each course for which you would like to request accommodations.<\/li>\n<li>If you want to use the same supports for every class, check the box for <strong>&#8220;Apply the same accommodations to all selected courses&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the black button labeled <strong>&#8220;CONTINUE TO NEXT STEP &gt;&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 4: Choose Specific Accommodations<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Review the <strong>&#8220;How to Request Accommodations&#8221;<\/strong> section for each course.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>&#8220;Select Accommodation(s) for each course&#8221;<\/strong> and check the corresponding boxes for the specific accommodations you require (e.g., Alternative Testing, Course Access).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Important:<\/strong> Your instructor will only be notified of the <strong>specific<\/strong> accommodations you select during this step. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 5: Final Submission<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scroll down to the <strong>&#8220;STEP: FINAL STEP&#8221;<\/strong> header.<\/li>\n<li>Click the black <strong>&#8220;SUBMIT REQUEST&#8221;<\/strong> button to complete the form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 6: Processing and Notification<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Upon successful submission, you will see a green checkmark and the message: <strong>&#8220;SUCCESS! YOUR ACTION HAS BEEN COMPLETED&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Your request will be placed in a queue for review by <strong>Student Accessibility Services (SAS)<\/strong> staff.<\/li>\n<li>Once approved, AIM will automatically emails <strong>Faculty Notification Letters<\/strong> directly to the instructor(s) of record and student.<\/li>\n<li>The email will be addressed from SAS staff at your primary campus location.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/p>\n<p><div class=\"list\"><p class=\"trigger\"><a href=\"#\">Information on Testing Accommodations<\/a><\/p><div class=\"toggle_container\"><div class=\"block\"><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/student-accessibility-services\/testing-accommodations\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/student-accessibility-services\/testing-accommodations\/\">SAS Testing<\/a> supports both Faculty and Students in the testing-accommodation process.&nbsp; Testing is coordinated online using&nbsp;the Accessible Information Management (AIM) system.
