Applications are now open for Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Study Abroad programs for summer 2025. These programs offer students a unique opportunity to travel and explore diverse cultures while earning academic credits during the summer semester.
Program Offerings
ACC’s Summer 2025 Study Abroad programs include a range of courses across multiple disciplines and destinations:
- Argentina – Spanish III
- Austria – Art Appreciation
- Costa Rica – Biology
- Cuba – Music
- France – Fashion, Theater
- Germany – Welding Technology
- Italy – Art History, Culinary
- Peru – Environmental Science
- Romania – Social Psychology
Application Process
The first step for students interested in studying abroad is to complete an advising session. Sessions are available in three formats: virtual one-on-one, virtual group, or through a pre-recorded video. After completing an advising session, students will receive the program application. ACC students, including dual credit students at least 18 years old, are eligible to apply for study abroad programs.
Important Dates
The deadline to apply for the Summer 2025 Study Abroad programs is February 6, 2025. Students are encouraged to start the process early to ensure they meet all requirements and secure a spot in their desired program.
Funding Opportunities
You can get support to help pay for your trip. ACC provides funding to help students maximize their experience in studying abroad. Available scholarships include:
- ACC Board of Trustees’ Scholarship – $1,000
- ACC Tyler Center for Global Studies Study Abroad Scholarship – $2,500
- Students can also seek external scholarships, such as the Gilman Scholarship, Fund for Education Abroad Scholarships, and FirstTrip.
