Now is the time to start planning your study abroad for the summer 2025 semester. Applications are now open for the Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program. CLS is a fully funded intensive summer language program. It is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the program funds all program costs, including travel, housing, and meals.
Why Apply for the CLS Program?
While CLS isn’t directly part of ACC’s Study Abroad Program, it aligns with the College’s mission to encourage intercultural understanding. The immersive experience is ideal for students seeking to broaden their knowledge of another culture, as it provides 8-10 weeks of rigorous language study in a host country.
How to Apply
The CLS Program application period is now open! Applications are due by Tuesday, November 19, at 7 p.m. Accepted students will be notified in January 2025, and final decisions are expected by March 2025.
The program’s goal is to advance U.S. national security and economic interests by promoting critical language skills—and it offers ACC students a chance to engage in global learning.
