Austin Community College (ACC) is excited to announce upcoming events for National Apprenticeship Week!

National Apprenticeship Week is a nationwide celebration in which employers, industry representatives, labor organizations, community-based organizations, workforce partners, educational institutions, and federal, state, and local government agencies host events. These events showcase the successes and value of Registered Apprenticeships, which help strengthen our economy by developing a highly skilled workforce to meet industry needs, creating pathways for career seekers to catapult into good jobs, and advancing racial and gender equity.

National Apprenticeship Week at ACC

Accounting Department Employer Career Fair

  • Date: Saturday, November 16
  • Time: 10 a.m. to Noon
  • Location: ACC Highland Campus, Building 4000 Atrium
  • About: All accounting students are invited, such as bookkeeping/technician students, tax preparers/specialists, and professional CPA candidates! We usually have around 12-15 employers/organizations participating every year. You do NOT have to be an ACC student to participate. Since this is a professional event, business attire is required and young children should stay at home please – Register Here.

Advance Manufacturing Department Interactive Table

  • Date: Wednesday, November 20
  • Time: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
  • Location: ACC Highland Campus, Building 1000 2nd Floor by the Social Staircase
  • About: Learn more about hands-on opportunities in Advanced Manufacturing at this apprenticeships event! Snacks, toys created in the ACC IMPACT Lab, and sensors and pneumatics for demonstration will be provided.

Virtual Engagement Opportunities for Students

Engage with National Apprenticeship Week virtually by sharing your apprenticeship story with the Department of Labor! The links below provide instructions for how to submit to the Department of Labor:

If you complete any of the three activities and email [email protected] a copy of your completed submission, name, ACC student ID number, and best contact information, you’ll be considered to receive a gift card from ACC! Submissions must be accepted by the Department of Labor to be considered for the gift card from ACC.
