The Austin Community College District (ACC) Board of Trustees and ACC Foundation are proud to accept a generous $322,760 gift from Dr. John Roueche during the regular board meeting on Monday, December 2.
This donation will fund multiple endowed scholarships, expanding opportunities for ACC students. In recognition of his impact, the College will name Conference Room 4101 at the Highland Campus “Dr. John Roueche Conference Room.”
“Dr. Roueche’s continued support makes a direct difference in the lives of our students,” says ACC Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart. “This gift ensures more students can access higher education, and we are incredibly grateful for his commitment to their success and to ACC.”
Dr. Roueche, a long-time ACC Foundation Board member and champion of community colleges, has helped ACC students through numerous scholarship programs, including the Drs. John and Suanne Roueche Endowed Scholarship and the Dr. Suanne Davis Roueche Vet Tech Scholarship. His contributions, both philanthropic and educational, have left a lasting impact on the college, furthering its mission of student success.
Gift Allocation:
- $297,760 to the Drs. John and Suanne Roueche Endowed Scholarship
- $20,000 to establish the Ann Schubert Endowed Scholarship
- $5,000 to the Pamela Williams Sutton Endowed Scholarship
