The 2025 scholarship season is officially open at Austin Community College District (ACC). Students can apply now to secure financial support for the year ahead. Scholarships can make a significant difference by helping you reduce financial barriers and focus more on your studies and career goals.
“Scholarships are more than just financial assistance—they are opportunities that help students focus on their studies and pursue their dreams without the weight of financial stress,” says ACC Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart. “We are deeply committed to supporting our students in every way possible, and these scholarships are one of the many ways we aim to remove barriers, help students succeed, and build a brighter future together.”
In 2024, ACC awarded nearly $1.4 million in scholarships, with a 10% increase in applications from the previous year. This year, even more scholarships will be available.
New Scholarships for 2025
- Moody Center Endowed Scholarship: A generous $15,000 donation from the Moody Center, Austin’s premier entertainment venue, through the Red River Rising community platform, will fund this new scholarship. It will support students pursuing careers in the music business, particularly those in ACC’s Audio Technology & Industry Program.
- Dr. John and Suanne Roueche Endowed Scholarship: Thanks to a transformative gift of over $300,000 from Dr. John Roueche, ACC will award several scholarships, including the Dr. John and Suanne Roueche Endowed Scholarship, the Pamela Williams Sutton Endowed Scholarship, and the Ann Schubert Endowed Scholarship.
- ITServe Alliance CSR Scholarship: This scholarship program will support multiple students pursuing a STEM field degree at ACC.
