Your Campus Connection to Essential Resources
Do you need help with child care, housing, food access, and mental health services? The C.A.R.E. (Community Assistance, Resources and Empowerment) Network has got your back. The C.A.R.E. Network provides access to services and resources to help you succeed at Austin Community College.
How the C.A.R.E. Network Works
Sign up to make an appointment to speak with a CARE Coordinator or Mental Health Counselor. A team member will reach out to you via your ACCmail to discuss your eligibility and the resources available to you.
Basic Needs Connection
CARE Coordinators help guide students through the process of signing up for community resources and services such as housing, utilities, child care, and more. CARE Coordinators are trained to help students navigate complex government benefit forms such as SNAP and Medicaid.

Mental Health Counseling
Counselors are available to meet in person or virtually to provide mental health support.

Riverbat Bites Food Pantry
Students can stock up on groceries and fresh food (at selected campuses) personal needs products (period products, diapers, and wipes from the Austin Diaper Bank), and grab-and-go meals that can be heated right there.

Who is Eligible?
Eligibility requirements will vary by the program or service within the C.A.R.E. Network and may also depend on a student’s status (full-time, part-time, or other category). However, most students will be eligible for C.A.R.E. Network services. A CARE Coordinator or mental health counselor will go over each student’s eligibility during their session.
