Study Smarter, Not Harder – Workshop Series

Academic Coaching will be hosting the virtual workshop series “Study Smarter Not Harder.”

This series is broken into 4 parts and will follow the Study Cycle. The series is meant to be viewed as a whole, but each topic will look more closely at a certain part of the Study Cycle and offer students strategies to improve study habits and ways to become more effective learners.

Students can participate in 1 or all of the workshops. Be sure to register/RSVP for each workshop you would like to attend in order to receive the joining information.  

Part I:  No Time Like the Present to Manage Your Schedule: Learn about the rules of time management, prioritizing tasks, and setting boundaries to manage your weekly study schedule. Friday,

Part II: The Power of Effective Notes: Learn how to prepare for class by taking notes from your textbook, actively listening during class, and combining all your notes into useful study aids. Thursday, February 9th
4 p.m.
Part III: Test Prep Starts on Day 1: Start on day 1 by developing your own review process; learn strategies to improve retention and be proactive while preparing for your exams. Wednesday, February 22nd
11 a.m.
Part IV: Stay Calm and Test On: Learn effective test-taking strategies to be more efficient on your exams and help reduce test anxiety Tuesday,
