Your On-Campus Employment Options

ACC GROW supports two types of on-campus employment opportunities for students: Work-Study and Hourly Employment by providing valuable work experience, skill development, and financial support while students pursue their education.

College Work-Study Program | Financial Aid Based

The College Work-Study Program is a type of financial aid that allows eligible ACC students to work part-time with an ACC employer or an external community service partner.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must demonstrate financial need on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA).
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 college credit hours at ACC.
  • Meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards each semester.
  • Work-study funding is limited, so it’s best to start early.
  • Must meet additional requirements outlined on the Financial Aid Website.

Work-Study Employment Details:

  • Work up to 19 hours per week, depending on eligibility
  • Receive a semi-monthly paycheck
  • Earn $23.00 – $24.10 per hour, depending on the position

ACC GROW Hourly Employment Program | Open to all Students

The ACC GROW Hourly Employment Program provides part-time job opportunities for students who do not receive work-study funding. These positions are fully funded by the hiring department and available to all eligible students.

Hourly Employment Details:

  • Work up to 19 hours per week, depending on departmental needs
  • Receive a semi-monthly paycheck
  • Earn a minimum of $23 per hour
  • Must remain enrolled in at least one credit or Continuing Education (CE) course each semester
  • Employment ends no more than two weeks after graduation or after withdrawal from ACC
