Mentoring in the Ascender Program

Library Hacks and Habits for Success

- Description: Our library survival tips will help you make the most of your first semester! Learn how to get 24/7 help and access a world of books, videos, and online collections. We’ll also cover our campus libraries, from study spaces and technology checkouts to friendly help from our librarians.
Mental Health Matters: ACCess Support

- Description: Discover the free, affirming mental health services at ACC! Many students are unaware of these resources or have never discussed their mental health. This presentation will introduce ACC’s mental health services and tackle common concerns, helping you feel supported and understood.

Session 3
A Guide to Student Accessibility Services (SAS)
- Presenter(s): Eloisa Carrillo
- Description: Overview of the support and services available to students with disabilities through the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) office. We will review the application process, documentation requirements, the interactive process, differences between high school and college accommodations, and the importance of self-advocacy.

- Description: Are you a military veteran or a dependent/Spouse of someone who served? Wondering if you have benefits, how to apply for them, and how to use them to their capacity? Attend this workshop and learn what services the ACC Veterans Resource Center offers!

- Description: Join us for Advising 101 to learn the basics of our advising process. We’ll show you how we help students succeed, especially those who might need extra support. This session will give you a clear idea of how we can assist you with your academic journey.
