The El Centro book club was established in the Spring of 2023, with the purpose of bringing together the ACC community to share relevant books that share stories and histories that reflect our communities. ACC’s Library Services has partnered with our book club to offer members a choice of in-person discussions across the district, as well as offering an online discussion that includes support from our amazing library team. Thanks to various areas within the College, the book club is able to provide a number of free book copies to our members.
Our club is open to everyone at ACC including students, faculty, and staff!
This fall we’re reading Islands Apart by Jasminne Mendez. We’re partnering with ACC Libraries as well as Ascender and BRASS on this fantastic book pick PLUS events with the author at El Centro and at Rio Grande.
Pick up your free copy at any ACC library beginning September 15.
