Are you an ACC student with a talent to share? We want to see you on stage at our El Centro Talent Show!

Community is the heart of El Centro and we’re celebrating our 30th anniversary by inviting our incredible ACC community to share their talents at our anniversary talent show. We’re accepting audition submissions through September 30th. Whatever your talent, whether you’re a musician, dancer, poet, actor etc., we invite you to show off your talents with us.

Please note that acts should be family friendly and adhere to regular campus safety regulations (sorry fire breathers and sword jugglers). You’ll have access to a regular microphone and general PA system.

Our September line up is hot off the press and full of everyone’s favorite El Centro signature events!

We’re kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month with a special collab with ACC’s Creative Writing department and bringing Jasminne Mendez, author of our book club pick Islands Apart, to El Centro! Plus we’re bringing back our Spanish language exchange event series with an extra fun session highlighting Spanish slang words on Friday the 18th!⠀
You won’t want to miss our zine workshop facilitated by our talented friends from The Art Galleries (TAG) on Thursday the 24th. To wrap up the month we’re co-hosting the hugely popular loteria lunch event with our besties at Student Life on Monday the 28th.⠀

Spanish Language Exchange: Slang Edition

Our language exchange series returns on Friday September 18 with an all new slang edition. Learn more about common (and not so common) Spanish phrases and words from across the globe. Ex: how do YOU say “straw” en español? Popote? Sorbete? Pitillo?

Join the fun, learn about Spanish around the world, and practice your skills in fun, no pressure environment. All levels welcome! Open to everyone at ACC.
