Board of Trustees’ Study Abroad Scholarship
ACC International Programs will award fifty $1,000 scholarships to support current ACC students participating in an ACC faculty-led study abroad program.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 at ACC by the application deadline.
- Have completed at least 3 credit hours at ACC in the fall semester prior to the study abroad program.
- Have completed and passed a minimum of 12 hours of ACC college credit by the start of your study abroad program. (Continuing Education classes, developmental classes, and transfer credits do not apply to the 12-hour minimum.)
- Not be a previous recipient of this scholarship.
Application Process
- Complete an advising session with ACC International Programs as your first step. This session will cover program details, scholarships, and the application process.
- Submit your study abroad program application.
- After applying for the program, you will receive the scholarship application.
Deadline: Submit your application by February 13, 2025.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be ranked based on:
- GPA
- Financial need
- Short answer application questions
- Faculty recommendations
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Rules
Recipients must register for and pass all study abroad program courses. If a student fails to complete minimum credits by the start of the program, drops/withdraws/fails one or more of the study abroad program courses, voluntarily terminates participation, does not comply with the ACC Student Code of Conduct or study abroad program rules, or is sent home during a study abroad program, the student will be billed for the entire amount of the scholarship.
Tyler Center for Global Studies Study Abroad Fellowship
ACC International Programs will award four $2,500 fellowships to support full-time ACC students participating in an ACC faculty-led study abroad program. The Tyler Center for Global Studies aims to build global awareness and appreciation through education, innovation, and research.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at ACC by the application deadline.
- Have completed at least 3 credit hours at ACC in the fall semester prior to the study abroad program.
- Be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credit hours) in the spring semester and pursuing a degree or certificate.
- Have completed and passed a minimum of 15 hours of ACC college credit by the end of the spring semester. (Continuing education, developmental, and transfer credits do not count toward the 15-hour minimum.)
- Not be a previous recipient of this fellowship.

- Submit your study abroad program application.
- After applying for the program, you will receive the fellowship application.
Deadline: Submit your application by February 13, 2025.
Fellowship Requirements
Recipients must:
- Conduct research relevant to the study abroad program, with support from the faculty leader.
- Write an innovative, 15-page (double-spaced) academic paper and submit it to ACC International Programs no later than 30 days after the program ends.
- Participate in an online orientation facilitated by the Tyler Center for Global Studies.
- Write three blog posts (prompts provided) for publication by the Tyler Center for Global Studies.
- Attend a Tyler Fellows meet-and-greet hosted by ACC International Programs.
- Submit a CV to be shared with the Tyler Center for Global Studies.
- Present your research at the Tyler Center for Global Studies Virtual Summit, if invited.
