The Student Money Management Office encourages ACC students to establish a relationship with one of our amazing local credit unions. As an ACC student, you are eligible for membership with A+ Federal Credit Union, Amplify Credit Union, and University Federal Credit Union. These member-owned institutions vary in size and in service, but what is consistent is key offerings of credit unions:
- The mission of credit unions is to provide its members with affordable services.
- Credit unions pass on the savings from their not-for-profit status through their entire product line. Generally, members are offered higher interest rates on savings accounts and lower interest rates on loans and credit cards.
- According to the 2016 Bankrate Credit Union Checking Survey, 76% of credit unions do not have minimum balance requirements.
- Credit unions have joined forces to offer its members shared ATMs and branches.
