Student Conduct

Welcome! Here you will find everything you need to know about Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Student Standards of Conduct. You are a big part of our mission to make our College community a positive and safe space for all to co-exist and learn. By enrolling and being an active student at the College, you accept to abide by this code of conduct.

The Student Conduct process is administered through the office of Dean of Student Affairs. The purpose of student conduct is to acknowledge responsibility, promote learning experiences, and personal growth.

The conduct process requires that a student facing possible conduct violations be provided written notice from the dean/associate dean of student affairs regarding the allegations. An investigation is conducted, and the student is provided an opportunity to be heard. Students found responsible for a conduct violation may receive a sanction. An appeal process is available should the student believe the Dean/Associate Dean’s ruling is incorrect. Read the guidelines and procedures by clicking below:

Faculty & Staff Resources

It is important for faculty and staff to have an understanding of ACC’s Student Standards of Conduct which establishes students’ rights and behavioral expectations.

We encourage faculty to review the Student Standards of Conduct on the first day of class, include it in the syllabus and direct students to the Rights and Responsibilities website. We have produced an informational video that can also be shown in class. The video is located on the homepage of austincc.edu/srr.
